The last time I baked something was 2 weeks ago. I made a lemon meringue pie, but unfortunately it totally failed.. Well that didn't stop me from trying to bake these chocolate chip cookies. And I am glad I did, because they turned out to be just perfect. So because I didn't want to keep the recipe just for myself I decided to share it with you!

For the cookies you need:
225g unsalted butter
170g caster sugar


170g granulated sugar
1 egg
455g plain flour
10ml  vanilla extract
5g baking soda
1 pinch salt
250g chocolate pieces + some to put on top of the cookies
You will also need:
oven
mixer

Method:
Preheat your oven to 190c
1. Put the butter and both sugars together and mix it for approximately 2-3 minutes.Add the egg and vanilla-extract mix everything together until full incorporated2. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking soda and salt.3. Now mix the contents of both bowls together until smooth. Then add the chocolate chips.4. Use your hands to form small balls and pop onto a lined baking tray leaving a bit of space for the cookies to spread out.
5. Bake for 8-10 minutes,until the cookies are lightly golden brown. Slide them onto a rack for them to cool.
